'A's results out

For all concerned friends and ppl who saw me breaking down into tears yesterday at the hall, just want to say i am fine now. Recalling yesterday, i seem to be happily joking around and laming as usual with my friends, obviously not prepared for this impending doom. Standing in front of Miss Chia, i sense no happiness in her unlike my 'O' levels teacher. Then finally i signed my name and with trembling hands took the horrible green result slips into my hands. This is it, its all fixed. Saw the horrible Maths results and tears started to well in my eyes. Then i told Pinky that i failed my Maths then she comfort me to say that its not a fail at 'A' levels lar. Ya, i just failed my expectations and its NOT as usual. My mind was in a whirl and i started to stand frozen in a corner while my other friends were talking to others or calling, i just couldn't recall.

Then i pluck up my courage to call my father and tell him about my Maths result only because i wanted to prepare them for the worse first. Then i was really in need of somebody to talk to and i called sin yi. She and pengguan came over and when i told her the maths thingy, tears started streaming down my face uncontrollably. Then i told them the rest of the results and we all got the same AAB. Somehow i just feel that all this wasn't worth it, all my 2 years of hard work and i am not going to get what i want. Surprisingly my chem got an A and cl'a' got a B. I was banging on my Chinese and it disappointed me. I guess i shouldn't have come to SA to take Chinese.

After that, i oj and guan teck came over, we shared our results and found that it seems that none of us got what we wanted. The rain was as heavy as my heart felt. Even after this trauma i met up with peishan, xianan, su bing and amanda at jurong this fashion to shop. I was basically just there to provide the card lar, i wasn't in any kind of mood to shop at all.

Then i went kopitiam upstairs to meet with the third group of ppl, my sec school pals. We shared our results and they say i got a pretty good set of results and shouldn't be frowning at all but i just couldn't take it, my heart was in pain, i felt like shouting to the whole world. The last thing to happen was that the bus 66 took near 50 mins to come after that. I stood at the bus interchange thinking i must really be down on my luck today. Just when i felt like going home to cry it all out, the world seems to be just opposing me.

So this is it, hard work doesn't pay off and Sim Hui is just too optimistic. SA prelims are just not accurate predictions. I got the same points 62.5/68 but there was a major change in the subjects i count in. Thank god my favourite Economics had never forsaken me, the A still stands proudly. My S paper got merit as expected.

Never again shall i let this happen to me. Even if it takes up all my time and energy, i am going to do well in University. You may think i am weak and academics is not everything but i just want to say some things are just more important to me. The results mean more to me than just a piece of paper. I believe in hard work and i am not going to stop proving hard work is the right way to go!
