Just Like the Old Days :)

Had a rather nostalgic Saturday listening to carpenters' 'yesterday once more' and watching my favourite novel's adaption ' Anne Of Green Gables'. I must say it brings back a lot of my memories in the past, the carefree days and most of all the dreams that I always had. I had been looking for the Movie adaption of this series (Anne of Green Gables, Anne of Avonlea, Anne of the Island, Anne of Windy Polars, Anne and Her dream House, Anne of Ingleside, Rainbow valley and Rilla of Ingleside )( since Secondary 1 when I got so fascinated by the imaginative Anne in this book who believes everything can be imagined and everyday is a fresh new start with no mistakes in it (yet). It was the first ever series I got addicted to, I was first introduced to the first 3 books by My sister then got on on the borrow the next 5 books in the library. I even got on to borrowing the Chinese version to read also. Seeing it again brings back so much memories and calls back some parts of me that I had lost all these years. Reality had forced me to forget that I always wanted to live in a beautiful countryside like Anne, and lead a simple yet fulfilling life with my loved ones. This kind of experience seems impossible in Singapore and I always thought one day I might migrate somewhere to Canada or New Zealand just to make this dream come true. But for now to relive some of my childhood experience really made me felt happier again. To remember that there is still hope in the future and to remember indulge ourselves with our imagination sometimes. Just like the childhood years when everything seems faraway yet hopeful in some ways.
