Outing, Outing and more to come!

This weekend I had 2 outings in a row.

MENTORING OUTING

Firstly, the mentoring outing on Saturday. Initially was quite afraid that I couldn't handle the people since I was never the organizer for any CCA or class outings. We went to the minds cafe at boat quay in the evening. There was some hiccups at first because Minds Cafe @ dohby called me at 5 to confirm my booking over there, but my call records had showed the boat quay number when I check on what I had called previously. However, the staffs at boat quay was really friendly and we could get our 8 seater when I told them they made a mistake about my booking.

The first thing we felt about Minds cafe@Boat Quay was that it was so much better than the one at dohby in terms of the environment. We had sofa seats at a corner and the place was not as noisy. The staff were really patient with us when we took quite long to make an order. They even had time to teach us the games when we didn't know (unlike dohby). Really enjoyed the outing at MINDS. We were really high when we played jurassic jumble. Sudev and Jeremy was trying to hide the bone for themselves while they exchanged the cards, Huric was the silent and serious winner while Daiwei was always caring about the wrong things and forgetting to notice the bone. We laughed alot during the game and played till the last minute before we left at 8pm. I enjoyed myself immensely! Hope we can still go there the next time!

When we got out of MINDs it so happen that we were facing the NDP site and I saw fireworks at the Singapore river! Its was such an coincidence and it was so near to us. You need all these surprises to make your day :) Darryl left after that to go clubbing while the rest of us went with Sudev to the Arts House to see a band performance. However it was raining and we missed it. So we decide to walk on to Funan IT mall to have a late dinner at Macdonalds. Chatted quite a bit on the way there with everyone. Updated on their recent happenings and had laughed quite bit at Macs on some lame stuff. Its really fun to see them after a month and I guess we could still meet up the next holidays. Really appreciated Sudev who offered to wait at my bus stop for half an hour with me for my bus :) We had a rather happy time chatting while waiting for my bus. And not forgetting deyun who said I was a good organiser:) All these little things make my day happier.

Thanks to all who came, was glad to see all of you and hope to cya soon! Those who didn't come this time, I also would like to see you all next time. Don't need to be afraid of coming to the mentoring outing, we break the ice rather easily after a game or two.

NTU OG 41 OUTING
Just came back from my University friends outing at Sentosa. Reached there at 2 plus instead of 12 because I needed to visit my grandfather who was admitted to the hospital. It really pains my heart to see him in the dependency ward with tubes on his hands. When he told us what happened the day before, tears welled up in my eyes and I really blame myself for not being able to take good care of him. He was feeling terrible on Saturday morning and still had to walk to the clinic himself. Anything could have happened to him then, but luckily heaven was kind to us and his condition is already under control. We really need to show more care and concern for our family members especially the elderly who needs to know that we do not think that they are bothering us and we really love them.

My dad sent me to Vivocity after that to make my way to Sentosa. Took some time to find my friends but was quite lucky that I spotted QiaoYi from a distance. Immediately joined in their captain ball game and had the chance to be the goal keeper! Was initially nervous because I haven't played ball games for quite some time but they were really encouraging. Michelle replaced me after that and I had the chance to play on the field. Really grateful to them as they were willing to pass the ball to me even though they know I wasn't really confident about ball catching. I got the ball almost everytime they see me and had quite a number of chances to score. You need these kind of friends to build up your confidence in sports.

After that, we took a rest at the shelter while we played mind games and asshole Daidee. Won a few rounds at the beginning but my luck went down after that, luckily I was still 3rd at the last round. After bathing, a few of the girls went back while the rest of us went for dinner at Pastamania in Harbourfront. Finally realised the food I didn't like was cream and not CHEESE! I actually do like cheese! We laughed so much over the dinner and chatted alot. They were so amused by some of my small antics and the 'popular' joke which I had actually said quite a number of times. The outing really cheered me up and its so heartwarming to know that at University, you can still meet tutorial mates which are so nice and fun loving.

Hope to see them quite often in school next semester. Kwang Hup is suggesting a BBQ at my house in the first week of school and I am quite happy to book the pit since they have experience in preparing for bbq before and I am looking forward to utilizing my bbq pit after staying in here for so long.

The outings cheered me up alot and I think we all need friends to survive. Will have my primary school outing and JC 2nd clique outing on Sunday. Then a stayover at Fenzi's house to celebrate bing rui's birthday the week after next and my beautiful holiday will end off with Amanda's birthday outing where I get to see Pinky after such a long period of time! Hope all these will be just as good! I love outings and all my friends :)
