PeiShan's Birthday Surprise!
Initially wanted to write quite alot for this entry but end up my IE hanged while I was updating my Template and my whole template was gone in the blink of an eye. Spent about 1 hour getting all my CBox, Wishlist, friends' blog address back. So now I am left with little time for my blof writing. Must always remember to use Mozilla Firefox to update blog!
The Story Behind the Surprise Birthday Plan.

The idea of secretly booking a hotel room for 21st birthday celebration was one of the ideas brainstormed for ChinYee's birthday in February, but it was not used because most of us were busy with school then and didn't had time to stay overnight.
This time round, when we started to plan for PS's birthday, this idea came back to my mind again. Since its the holiday now for everyone, it will be more feasible to have an overnight celebration plan. So I went to Expedia to check out the hotel prices then I found quite a number of hotels with rates lower than $100. Excited with this discovery, I emailed all the other girls the list of hotels and most of them were agreeable. But guess what, after a few days, I realised the rate was all in USD! After converting to Sing$, the room rate for a presentable hotel exceeds our budget. Just when I thought this plan will have to be abandoned, Chin Yee comes to the rescue! Through some channels, Chin Yee's Dad managed to get us a room within our budget and with free upgrade and extended checkout time to 6pm in Park Royal@Beach Road, a 4* Hotel (Opp Haji Lane area).
Then came the problem of how to hide this from PeiShan on the actual day itself. Since most of us do not know how to get to Park Royal, we had to familiarize ourselves with the place first so that we will not fluster on that day and can successfully come up with a plan to mislead PeiShan into thinking we were walking to somewhere else and not the Hotel. So on the day when we were suppose to buy her birthday presents we met at Bugis to discuss the full plan first and tried walking to the Hotel from there.
But there were still other things to settle then. Its true that when you tell a lie, you need more lies to cover it. Since we didn't tell her we booking a hotel, how to ensure she brings her toiletries and stuff? So conveniently, we used SuBing's House as a smoke screen saying we will stay at her house after out bar/pub trip till late night.
On That Day Itself

Finally, the day came. SuBing and ChinYee went at 3pm to check in first to ensure everything is in place and decorations were nicely done up. I reached at 5 pm, happy to see that the room was rather nice, comfortable and quite grand. So ChinYee and I went shopping around Bugis to look for a cheap and nice Steamboat restaurant to have our dinner at. From the many many restaurants at Liang Seah Street behind Parco Bugis Junction, we narrowed down to 2 restaurants that were able to provide us with Vegetarian soup base suitable for our Vegetarian friend and also had good critics on the Singapore Forums :) After which we rushed to the shop that sells party stuff behind new Iluma Shopping Centre to get Candles, Lighter and Party Popper. By the time we finished, we were already running late and PeiShan had already reached Bugis MRT. So there wasb't any time to rush back to the hotel to do up the decorations. So we had to make do with whatever we had there.
When the rest came, we decided to have our dinner at Yi Pin Chuan beside TopOne KTV. Though it was non air-con, I think we made a good decision choosing that restaurant because they had CRAYFISH! haha. Just kidding, its because because they were the only restaurant that offered us BBQ together with vegetarian soup base and we can have free KTV music there because TopOne had a TV screen facing the restaurant.
At around 9.45pm, SuBing who left at 5pm for her Japanese class was ready to meet us at the Hotel but because she needed time to walk there from the MRT station, we deliberately brought PeiShan round the longer way to the Hotel. Then told her we were going to the bar in the Hotel. Very slowly, we walked towards the Hotel, pretending not to know they way. I thought it was pretty obvious that we had something up our sleeves but Pinky's stomachache helped diverted PeiShan's attention. When we reached 4th floor, chin yee secretly opened the safety access door for hotel guest while Pinky tried to keep her occupied, talking to her about an art piece in the lift. It became a bit harded to hide the fact that we were walking towards a hotel room when we went thought the access door to the room area, we had to pretend that we thought it was quite weird for a bar to be situated there too. Then I had to pretend to be on the phone with Subing (who was already in the room then). Then I acted as if I was really on the phone asking for directions from SuBing then kept walking on and on till we reach our room door then I said 开门. SURPRISE!

案发现场躲猫猫.成功!
