Not a good start means it can only get better!!!

Didn't know whether to blog about this at first since I have been using facebook and msn quite often to convey my thoughts. However, since school is starting tomorrow, I probably wouldn't have time to blog for some time.

2009 ended with a super optimistic note.

31st DECEMBER

MORNING

CHECKED RESULTS

Woke up to a bright new year eve morning thinking that TODAY IS MY LUCKY DAY. I should check my results today. Suddenly had a really good feeling about it and brought forward the checking of results 3 days.
Looked at my CGPA and couldn't remember what my CGPA was last semester. With trembling fingers, i scrolled down the degree audit page to the results. Saw some pluses but not sure what subjects are they then i jumped up and screamed for joy. I got my 2nd best Grades ever since I enter University and managed to get 2 A+ for Economics Core. My brother stared at me in amazement, unsure of what I was screaming to myself, my reaction was exactly like the people in 'Heineken' Advertisement

Felt that God was especially good to me because I haven't been as hardworking as i normally will be throughout last semester. Been engaging in social activities more often, tuition-ing twice a week, involved in 2 CCA at different point in time and was EMO-ing some of my precious time away. I also skipped the most number of classes ever and overslept a number of times. Was so busy that I didn't realise my S/U option for Japanese Level 1 wasn't properly done until 1 week before exams and had to burn midnight oil a couple of nights to catch up on what I haven't been paying attention to during Class.

Afternoon
Fun with BOP people. Went K-ing @ Partyworld with Bingrui, Serene, Mingwei, TianCi and Dita. I was coughing the last 1 week and hadn't been able to sing. But surprisingly, I managed to recover just before my K-ing session with the BOP peeps :)

Evening
Fun with BOP People. Went Boardgaming @ Minds Cafe with many others joining us for more fun and laughter in the 3 hour gaming session.

Night

Fun with BOP People. We sat at the side of the Clark Quay River hoping to see fireworks at 12MIDNIGHT. When the clock finally stroke twelve. We could only hear the sound from the firing of fireworks from afar. Nothing much can be seen with Fullerton Hotel blocking the whole view. Hence we decided to follow some people and run to the space behinf Fulleton and managed to catch a glimpse of the Fireworks we waited so long for. *HAPPY* *.*

1st JANUARY 2010

wohooo. Stayover at Choo Ting's House. As usual BOP people like to ask 劲爆 questions and dig out new scandals. LoL. I played a part in this regular activity and had fun knowing about each other better. We managed to just chat though the long long night without playing any card games or chooting's favourite ---->PICTIONARY. At about 9am, we set off from chooz's house to Causeway point to eat out FIRST Macs Breakfast of the year. YUM YUM! Though we were really tired, we still managed to laugh at each others' silly jokes in MACs.

START OF THE DISASTERS

Yup that was when things start to go wrong.
Shall not write in detail because it will make me more depress.

FYP - Getting nowhere. Lots to be done. No motivation

NUS Modules - Can't get my Econs Module, Can't get my Business Modules, end up with no modules and lots of time wasted. TIME = MONEY. Opportunity cost of time lost... sad

WORK - Yup, $$$ is the root of all evil. Not that I am going to turn sinister or evil but have to start working at Universal Studio this week. 10 hours a day. $$$ is really hard to earn. But my wants are rather expensive. To sustain my habit of going overseas for at least once per year, I need to earn more $$$$. So no choice. Anybody got tuition to recommend me? I need $4000 this year.

JAPANESE LeveL 2 - This is actually linked to FYP. I managed to get this module this semester but I may have to drop it because of the time needed for this module. Even if I S/U it, its still my habit to study really hard for it, I never step into exam hall without 100% confidence that I have done whatever I could for that module. Hence, I may have to sacrifice this for more time to do FYP. Sad Sad Sad. There goes my dream to take JLPT when I graduate. But I have to be responsible to my FYP mates. They have a group mate with 2 majors to do and more core modules to clear than others already. How can I take away the little remaining time that I have with them for other unnecessary stuff.

On top of all this, I need to do something to my thick and messy hair. Gotta settle it before this semester goes into full swing. Any good hair salon to recommend for rebonding???

I can only hope it will get BETTER!! Monday will be a better day :)
